Try it out ...

The exercises are fun, creative, and use imagery to inform the sub-conscious brain, which pays dividends in terms of acquiring new postural patterns.

The Franklin-Method starts from the axiom, "Balanced Mobility brings Stability". Good posture is paramount. In the ideal posture, the parts of the structure are balanced as close to the central axis as the structure permits and the centre of gravity is as low as the structure permits - How are you sitting as you are reading this?

Is your head and spine upright?

Imagine your head lengthening up from your shoulders and your spine lengthening down to the floor.

Are your shoulders released?

Imagine your collarbones floating, carried by balloons and your arms hang relaxed.

The Franklin Method also uses small balls and long therabands to relax muscles and strengthen them. Many of my clients take their balls with them on planes, on holiday, or release tight backs, shoulders, necks, to keep the circulation going in the feet and lots more.

For more lessons and workshops in the Franklin-Method get in touch with me. I run regular workshop on topics such as 'Pelvic Power', 'Relax Your Neck and Liberate Your Shoulders', 'Imagery for a Healthy Spine'.
